Road Trip - April 2017, Part 2
We spent about a week in Portland, visiting family. I was able to also enjoy some walks and hikes. First stop was the Crystal Springs Rhododendron Garden. To a Portlander this was considered "bare", but to a Canadian winter escapee it was like a lush tropical garden:
A brief ray of sunshine lights the way.
Birds abound...
...and Wood Ducks are a dime a dozen.
Show off...
Then it was on to Multnoma Falls, which is so beautiful I went twice. I'm not a fan of over indulgent saturation and post-processing, but it really was that green. There is an expansive network of trails behind the main falls, wonderful to explore.
The often photographed bridge over the lower falls.
A less often photographed some-other-falls-I-can't-recall-the-name-of.
One of many other smaller falls and pools. The base of the pools is a rich Caribbean blue that doesn't come through here.
